So this was 2 weeks ago or so. We took the kids & dogs to this little park. We also brought a rolling bbq that I won in a drawing...yeah me! We set up picnic stuff and then took a walk across the bridge & down the path....
...we veered off the main path to a smaller path and found this clearing. I t was our own private beach for an hour...
..we all got in & played (not me /they're crazy/it was COLD). I walked in a little holding Chehayla's hand.
Next time we will bring the rafts (& rope & live vests).
Not on this trip but a week or so b4 this we found out that Hayla is a natural hiker. It was really raining (the kind that soaks your jeans just from walking). But we were all so tired of waiting for the weather, to be able to get out. SO we packed jackets and boots and stoped for lunch & drove to the resivore to check it out. It was awsome if you have a boat. (which we do now!). Anyways we took an easy trail but it was muddy & slippery but wide. At one point we veered off to a narrower path to get closer to the water. Chehayla was in front of me and w/ out me telling her she was tredging up this narrow slippery path w/ her feet spread on the edges where the was better traction. It was cool. When we got to the waters adge there was a huge bull frog. Shane & Aden tryed to touch it but it jumped and Aden fell on his butt, 1/2 in the water. We were all soaked& filthy, especially the dogs.It was SOO fun!
